Keelers Inn in 1772.It served as a tavern, a regular stop for stagecoaches on the inland route from New York City to Boston, and a U.S. Post Office for 50 years.As the years passed, it became a hotel and eventually was sold in 1907 to noted architect Cass Gilbert. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Museum is owned and operated by the nonprofit Keeler Tavern Preservation Society, Inc.6'
